G-d's Name [yud-hei-vav-hei] contains four letters.

yud is the sphere/sefirah of "Chochmah"/knowledge, the first inspiration and the source of reincarnation. It is called the sphere connected to sight which is the beginning of all knowledge. It gives power to the first "hei" of G-d's name.

hei is "Binah"/understanding, the second letter of G-d's name. The feminine component, connected to sound and exemplified by Leah. Binah means the world to come, the source of repentance and has within it the feminine left side.

vav in gematria equals six and is exemplified by the Patriarch Yaacov/Jacob. Yaacov's inner quality is truth/"emes". This letter includes six spheres/sefirot which are Lovingkindness (Chesed), Judgement (Gevurah), Glory (Tifferet), Eternity (Netzach), Splendor (Hod), Foundation (Yesod). Hod is the sphere of the family and all of the interrelationships between them.

hei is Kingship (the sphere/sefirah of Malchut) and is exemplified by King David who was given seventy years from Adam [who lived 930 years instead of 1000 years]. King David exemplifies this sphere because he literally had no life span of his own. This situation is similar to our material world. This world/Malchut has no spiritual light of its own and receives sustenance from the spiritual worlds above. It is the feminine component because it is a receptacle and is exemplified by the moon which waxes and wanes according to the light it receives from the sun.
